JOIN US AS A SR MEDIA EFFECTIVENESS MANAGER As part of the Marketing Measurement Team, the Sr. Media Effectiveness Manger will serve as an in-house expert on measurement capabilities, marketing analytics, data across marketing channels, and technology related to measuring the various marketing channels, including Digital, Social, and Traditional Marketing.This is a key role in our growing Marketing Measurement strategy and will advise Target on industry best practices, technologies, processes, and products.  Responsible for partnering closely with Target's senior Marketing leaders to identify deep media and message insights and convert those into successful communications strategies.  Will lead, in partnership with analytics teams and agencies, multiple projects involving primary / secondary research, competitive research, modeling analytics and testing.  It is essential that the successful candidate be able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect with peers, subordinates and senior executivesRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Marketing Measurement product offerings and strategy; develop new ways for Target and Target's vendor partners to measure the performance and return on investment of marketing campaigns, tactics, channels and new products.
  • Design and interpret, in collaboration with analytics teams and agencies, a variety of complex quantitative / qualitative research or analytical methodologies to understand the impact of our marketing on consumer behaviors (trips, sales, action taken) and perceptions of our brand within the competitive environment.
  • Work directly with internal and external platforms in understanding measurement capabilities, testing various tactics and products, and providing insights to Target's Marketing Product Owners and Marketing Strategists.
  • Work closely with Marketing Strategy, Planning, Guest COE and Target Media Network to assist in the planning, optimization, and measurement of advertising campaigns.
  • Develop partnerships with key clients, including Marketing, Media and Creative Strategy senior leadership, to intake and prioritize insights needs.
  • Leads strategic partnerships with external research and analytics partners.
  • Lead and participate in a variety of cross-functional insights and analytics teams.
  • Work with clients to develop problem structure in order to deliver on business questions.
  • Synthesize results from various sources of information and provide recommendations with a holistic point of view.
  • Stay current on industry research and share relevant information with client and team.
  • Educate key clients on research approach and content to minimize bias in interpretation.
  • Serve as a team expert for certain research methodologies.

REQUIREMENTSThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of analytics, project management, and relationship building, as well as a background in marketing, retail, packaged goods, consumer research, and/or management consulting. Key requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA degree with strong academic performance
  • 8-10 years of relevant Marketing experience
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, and communication skills
  • Strong conceptual skills and ability to translate concepts into analytical or research methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately.
  • Track record of success in dealing effectively with complex projects entailing frequent interaction with senior executives.
  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate highly complex findings to focus on the critical issues and actionable opportunities.
  • Experience with Marketing Mix Models preferred
  • Experience writing SQL preferred
