Ranked Faculty - Accounting
The Business Administration department invites applicants for a full-time ranked faculty position beginning Fall 2018, pending budget approval. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. The position is tenure track for faculty who are academically qualified in accounting as defined by ACBSP. Other candidates will be eligible for a 3-year, rolling (renewable) contract with the possibility of conversion to tenure track upon achievement of the requirements for academically qualified faculty.
Teach six courses per year (4-5 undergraduate courses in upper and lower level undergraduate accounting and core in both day and weekend/hybrid formats and 1-2 graduate accounting courses in the Master of Business Administration program and/or Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program); service to the business department and to the MBA program and/or MAOL program including areas like student advising and recruiting, and participation in faculty meetings and committees; service to the school and university; engagement in scholarship; and interaction and outreach with business, industry, and professional organizations.
Certified Public Accountant status is required along with either a MBA or Masters in Accounting or Finance or Taxation degree. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is required, as well as industry experience in accounting. Experience teaching in both face-to-face, online and hybrid formats and experience teaching accounting is preferred. Academically qualified in accounting or finance as defined by ACBSP is preferred (e.g., an earned doctorate in accounting; or an earned doctorate in any field plus MBA with CPA; or an earned doctorate in any field plus a Master's in accounting with CPA; or an earned doctorate in any field plus a master's in finance with CPA; or an earned doctorate in any field plus a master's in taxation with CPA).
