Lead Business Partner, BP&NUse your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals.  WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe BP&N Lead is responsible for advancing the joint business planning and vendor engagement process; enabling visibility, accountability and management of vendor financial performance to goals and agreed upon business plans along with providing reporting on multiple layers of vendor financial performance and negotiated business awards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe BP&N Lead is responsible for building on an existing framework that measures vendor performance vs. goals for Target's key vendor partners. 
  • Determine joint business planning and vendor engagement needs of key internal and external partners
  • Facilitate accountability and delivery of the negotiated JBP savings
  • Enhance developed framework (data files, reporting and process) focused on JBP and annual deals, enabling sophisticated reporting capability for internal and external partners
  • Pilot, test and revise process over 12 months
  • Provide consultant support and troubleshooting for merchants and vendors
  • Develop and maintain process best methods along with the tools and reporting to support business planning process in response to changing business needs
  • Develops training content and provides world-class classroom/one-on-one instruction to internal and external clients (high emphasis on retail accounting metrics and troubleshooting)
  • Provides financial analysis and insights through reporting for all levels of merchandising
  • Prioritizes projects and manages the relationship with Finance & Target India's Merchandise Reporting JBP team
  • Benchmark vendor profitability practices from internal resources, top retail companies and other external companies determined to be appropriate
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 4 year degree
  • 4-5 years' experience required with 2-3 years National Brand buying or negotiation experience preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maximize relationships
  • Results driven and able to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
