Full Time Van Driver, Flexible Hours, Twin Cities
Our Medical Transportation Company is certified by MN Department of Transportation and MN Department of Human Services for the State of Minnesota. We provide medical transportation primarily for people with special needs (disabled, elderly, etc.) who travel to and from Minnesota Health Care Facilities. We provide rides for Medical Assistance, Medica, Blue Cross Blue Shield and UCare Recipients, as well as for Private Pay Clients. Our Medical Transportation Company was established in 1993 and is currently growing its business. We have drivers who have been working for our company for 5-14 consecutive years. We are seeking for a new full time van driver who would like to join our professional team of drivers. We are offering currently contracts for one year minimum.
You, as a driver, will be providing transportation to special needs passengers primarily within Twin Cities metro area: use our new wheelchair accessible van, keep it at your home; or, you can use your own van; work flexible hours, start and finish the work at any time you like, take breaks when needed; make up to $1000 net pay per week (up to $1100 if you use your own van); get as many clients and trips as you can handle; transport multiple passengers simultaneously and get paid for each passenger. Please note that "up to $1000 net pay per week" is a conservative amount. Some of our drivers work harder and net up to $1300 (or even more) per week.
You have to be at least 18 years of age and have not less than one year of experience as a licensed driver. You must, for the past three years: have not had a driver's license canceled under Minnesota Statutes, section 171.14, revoked under Minnesota Statutes, section 171.17, or suspended under Minnesota Statutes, section 171.18, clause (2), (3), (4), (5), (7), or (11); have a driving record clear of convictions for driving a motor vehicle without a valid current license for the class of vehicle driven; and have a driving and criminal record clear of convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance under Minnesota Statutes, section 169A.20, or an ordinance in conformity with that section, of alcohol-related driving by commercial vehicle drivers under Minnesota Statutes, section 169A.20, and of driver's license revocations under Minnesota Statutes, sections 169A.51 to 169A.53.
You must not have a criminal record for which you were convicted of or pled guilty to, either crimes against persons or crimes reasonably related to providing special transportation services as required in Minnesota Statutes, section 8840.5900, Subpart. 12. "Criminal record" means the conviction records of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension or other states' criminal history repository in which the last date of discharge from the criminal justice system is less than 15 years. Conviction has the meaning given it in Minnesota Statutes, section 171.01, subdivision 29. Criminal record and driving record includes a conviction, suspension, cancellation, or revocation for a crime in another jurisdiction that would be a violation under this part.
It is enough to have a regular (Class D) driver's license. This job is perfect for those with a previous transportation or delivery experience and those who feel compassion for people with special needs. You have to be a hardworking, responsible, reliable and motivated person, who speaks good English.
