Humera is looking for an Human Resource Manager for our client located in St. Paul, MN. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity with a mission-based, non-profit health system headquartered in Minnesota, with over 40 locations, that provide independent living and complete long-term care services for aging adults.


Duties:
This position is responsible for developing, planning and implementing Human Resource strategies, objectives and plans for the facility.
  • Performing general day to day operations of human resources, payroll, and benefits in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • Providing internal consulting services related to all talent management areas (hiring, performance management, separation, and labor/employee relations).
  • Assisting the leadership team and effectively interacting with facility leadership and staff while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements:
Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum two year degree or 3-5 years of experience in human resources, benefits, and payroll
  • Previous experience in a unionized worksite, preferably 5 years
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to relate and communicate with employees and applicants of all ages
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Qualifications Preferred:
  • Knowledge of a Human Resources Information system (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification (CPP)
  • Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) or SPHR
  • Four year degree in Human Resources or related field in healthcare
