Position Description

This position is responsible for performing installation, configuration, administration, patching/upgrades and tuning of software applications. The main applications for this role are Team Foundation Server (TFS), Internet Information Services (IIS), and SharePoint. This role will also provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application-related issues. Coordination with customers and application vendors on technical issues, upgrades, licensing and maintenance renewals. Collaboration to develop relationships with peers and business staff to better understand their processes and business needs. Forming partnerships with IT team members to ensure recoverability and documentation exist for the applications.

·Support Team Foundation Server (TFS), SharePoint, and Internet Information Services ( IIS).

·Perform installations, configuration, administration, patching/upgrades and tuning of the software.

·Provide technical support and troubleshooting activities.

·Coordinate with business and application vendor on technical issues, upgrades, licensing and maintenance renewals.

·Ensure all systems are documented and diagrammed, and that artifacts are kept current.

·Collaborate with IT staff to ensure solid redundancy, recoverability and that documentation exists for the applications and their support processes.

·Flexibility in the face of shifting priorities.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or technical specialty; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years of experience successfully supporting business applications, to include end user support, administration, maintenance and upgrades.

Experience leading application upgrades and implementations is required.

Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS), SharePoint, and Internet Information Services ( IIS) applications. Desire to work together with an IT team that cares about helping each other and providing real value to our business and ability to think independently, negotiate with grace, and stay focused.

Capacity to communicate clearly and with presence; strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.

Preferred Experience

Experience in the Health Care field.  Agile Methodology
