Humera is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our manufacturing client in Minnetonka, MN. The individual for this position will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of human resource procedures and processes including, but not limited to, updating employee handbook, recruiting, onboarding, terminations, payroll and benefit administration, workers compensation, affirmative action and performance reviews. This individual will also properly maintained human resource processes and procedures will ensure the Company is in compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensure standard handling of human resource matters across the Company's various sites and provide a resource for maintenance of positive relationships with Company's employees to reduce legal exposure.

  • Develop and maintain a cost effective on-boarding and termination process.
  • Recruiting through use of external agencies and networks, relationships with trade schools, job fairs, and web-based resources
  • Develop process to report open positions and headcount by major function and site
  • Review performance reviews for consistency and timeliness
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefit plan enrollment or change events
  • Coordinate annual benefit enrollment and field ongoing inquiries
  • Track, design and coordinate training and safety programs with other functional areas.
  • Maintain affirmative action plan documentation and other similar programs, as required.
  • Conform to the company quality system procedures as documented.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting of HR data to ownership group
  • Ensure HR and ADP databases are timely updated and maintained
  • Coordinate with Company's site regarding the filing of workers compensation claims and providing updated information to the Company's insurance carrier and legal counsel.
  • Annual review/update of Company handbook
  • Other responsibilities/projects as assigned by VP of Finance

  • Four year degree
  • General understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations, payroll and benefit laws and regulations, filing and reporting of workers compensation claims, affirmative action, and current employment market conditions
  • Strong computer experience including understanding of HRIS data base software, preferably HR Diamond, ADP and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 7+ years of comprehensive human resource experience preferably in a multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Ability to learn JobBOSS ERP and HR Diamond software
  • Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
  • Develop professional relationships with site management in order to deliver timely and accurate service and result
  • Conflict resolution skills
