Ware has partnered with a growing construction company that has a field office in White Bear Lake and they are looking to add a person to their team! This position will never have a dull moment. You will go from design, to pre-construction estimates, creating material lists and talking with a wide range of people from project managers, customers, others associated with the project, and more. This role is an integral part of their concrete and masonry team. While this job will have a quite a bit autonomy, the manager is hands on and going to a guide/mentor to this person. Key Responsibilities (not a complete list):
- Generate models for  concrete and masonry work based on narratives, design documents, specifications, submittals, RFI's and shop drawings
- Prepare models and visuals to from early design through construction and post construction
- Support project teams with estimating of projects and aid in facilitating pre-construction efforts
- Identify constructability issues, missing information, and notify and aid the project team in the resolution of the issues
- Support project teams through the development of construction phasing studies
- Assist project teams with creating concrete and masonry specific construction documents that may include; concrete lift drawings, formwork drawings, formwork bill of materials, off-site fabrication documents and fully coordinated opening drawings
- Assist in the management of supporting subcontractors by reviewing and coordinating shop drawing and model production. Support project teams through the management of models to track field productivity and performed quantities.
- Work collaboratively with other team members in the department through work sharing, resourcefulness, self-starting work habits and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgement


Requirements: 
- Associates or Bachelors degree with a focus on architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology, construction management or construction detailing
- High level of competency with advanced software including Revit or Solidworks
- Understanding of construction detailing and methodologies
- Proficient in reading construction documents and specifications
- Knowledge of the construction process from design through execution

Ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience in the design and commercial construction industry, with experience in the production of design documents and design detail drawings
- Experience creating custom Revit families
- Experience with SketchUp and AutoCad
- Experience with concrete formwork and concrete construction concepts, practices and procedures
- Conveys a high level of professionalism to all aspects of the job
- Ability to work closely with project teams, have strong presentation and communication skills
- Possesses strong technical skills and creative problem solving abilities
- Has a desire to learn new processes and technology
