The chosen individual will assist in determining new client credit worthiness, monitor client credit issues, follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable, assist billing attorneys, and when authorized to do so, work directly with clients to expedite the collection of past due receivables.

The ideal candidate will be an assertive, highly professional individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills; sound analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with lawyers, staff and clients and a team player who prefers to work in a collaborative environment.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years of related work experience in a legal or professional services environment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 2010, specifically Excel, Access and Word and comfortable with systems in general.  Experience with Elite and StarCollect financial systems are preferred. Must be able to handle multiple demands, prioritize tasks and the pressure of meeting deadlines. The ability to work beyond standard work hours particularly in peak seasons is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
