As a Residential Therapist, you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the psychosocial services for residents
  • Seek to enhance the functioning of residents
  • Provide group/individual/family therapy and weekly family programming for assigned residents
  • Serve clients 10-18 years of age and their families/guardians
  • Coordinate care with internal and external providers upon admission and discharge
  • Contribute to the interdisciplinary team a unique perspective in the areas of psychotherapy and assessment
  • Provide training in specific therapeutic modalities and interventions to other residential staff members
  • Participate in treatment team meetings
  • Partner with entire residential team to create and maintain a therapeutic environment for residents
  • Provide coverage for other therapists as needed
  • Potentially supervise Master’s level Family Therapy, Counseling, or Social Work interns
    • Based on qualifications

Hours will be Monday through Friday (hours fall between 8 - 6 pm) with up two evenings a week (8pm).  Must be willing to work rotating Saturdays.   

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • Current license in the State of MN
    • LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC
  • 1-2 years of post-independent licensed experience
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form
  • Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays as needed
