Position Summary Information Position Responsibilities

St. Catherine University, St. Paul, seeks applications for an Information Specialist in our Career Development Department. This position is a full-time position, scheduled for 40 hours/week, 52 weeks per year and is eligible for our generous benefit package. The Information Specialist provides technical support and training to students and Career Development staff and functions as the interface between Career Development and the IT department. The Information Specialist maintains multiple specialized databases, manages career technology resources, and collaborates with technology vendors to determine appropriate technology solutions. In addition, the Information Specialist maintains and improves the Career Development website and researches new technology solutions. This position will serve as a member of the Career Development team, aiding with general office management projects, including supervision of student staff, front desk management, budget management, and helping with special projects as requested.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and support technology and information systems, including KatieCareer, Career Tools, Interview Stream and Talent Neuron; Act as administrator for department Qualtrix library
• Maintain, manage and monitor data with periodic audits of department data; coordinate SSO and data uploads with IT, Registrar's Office and HR for KatieCareer
• Oversee Career Development's use of Qualtrix, GoogleDocs, Banner/Luminous/Argos
• Support Career Development staff in using Google Docs and calendars; manage ePortfolio use
• Maintain, improve, and keep current Career Development web pages on a regular ongoing basis
• Handles photography needs for publications/software; prepare images and pdfs for multiple software platforms
• Assist staff with promotions and marketing and with projects and programs as needed
• Account for budget expenditures; maintain and order office supplies
• Oversee supervision and training of 8 +/- student employees; ensure front desk staffing by trained personnel; develop training materials for student & professional staff; oversees front desk operations
• Manage career resource library, permissions for all staff and student workers for departmental shared drives, Google calendars, phones dept. email addresses & KatieCareer

Position Qualifications


Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 3 years Information Management/ Information Systems experience; Project management and systems implementation experience preferred
• Understanding of career development goals, processes, data, and the students and organizational impact
• Database design, development, and management skills; ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
• Strong data collection, analytic and data reporting/presentation and strong problem solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Word, FileMaker, Google Docs and applications, Internet/HTML
• Attention to detail and strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to build a positive work environment
• Ability to work with other departments (in instructional and consultative roles) and diverse constituency (including students, faculty, staff, and external recruiters), and to assume a leadership role
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to troubleshoot problems in a professional manner
• Highly reliable and responsible to needs of the department
• Preferred software skills: Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Publisher, Canva, Qualtrix
