BUSINESS ANALYST - REPORTING (CLAIMS OPERATIONS) - TEMPORARY (9 MONTH ASSIGNMENT)Position DescriptionThis position is responsible for defining, developing and managing Claims reporting. Plan, document requirements, design business processes, provide recommendations for change in order to improve and streamline Claims reporting. Serve as liaison between the Claims team and business function leaders to understand the information required to support cross functional business processes. Collaborate with claims leaders and staff to develop and deploy comprehensive reporting capabilities. Ensure requirements and solutions conform to department, corporate, industry and regulator standards as specified. Provide ongoing support to day-to-day key functions and initiatives of Claims Department.·Collaborate with vendors, business areas and program/technical teams to perform analysis, define business requirements, and implement solutions that solve business problems or meet business objectives from a strategic and tactical perspective.·Lead data and reporting-related business project/initiative activities. Drive data and reporting project efforts and facilitate project related meetings. Partner with upstream and downstream customers to ensure seamless and predictable outcomes.·Consolidate data from multiple sources to create daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. ·Provide status updates to monitor progress, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and outcomes that will result in successful implementation of reporting requirements.·Collaborate with Claims Leadership to identify and implement repeatable and sustainable process improvement efforts involving enhancements to data and reporting processes and tools. ·Manage daily/weekly/monthly reporting efforts. Drive resolution of reporting-related issues and risks.·Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of UCare Claims processes, data and reporting capabilities.·Gather and translate business requirements and apply strategic and tactical business direction into technical requirements used for driving technical improvements, enhancements, or creation of new reporting capabilities.·Communicate project/initiative and scope, and negotiate with teams to work through constraints and alternatives.·Develop and maintain reporting policies and procedures consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization. Supplement policies and procedures with functional and process level instruction and illustration. Communicate changes in policies and procedures to team and management in a timely manner.·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's degree in business, IT or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered.Required ExperienceFive years of business analysis experience within health plan Operations or IT. Two years of data analysis experience. Experience in business process improvement. Experience in report development.Preferred ExperienceHealth Plan Operations experience in Claims.
