Medivators, a Cantel Medical Company, is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their growing R&D team! As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for providing assesments, analysis, and improvements of electronic components for Medivators automate endoscope reprocessors. 

Pay Rate: Depending on Experience

Hours: Regular Business Hours
Duration: 12+ Months - Contract to Hire for the Right Candidate

Job Duties:
  • Provide Sustaining engineering support for electronics technology/product/process development projects related to existing products, sensors technology and business continuation opportunities for electro-mechanical systems
  • Understand testing and performance requirements of OEM modules to test performance of and troubleshoot issues in new OEM module integration
  • Be able to interact with and provide technical feedback to third party solutions providers
  • Generate or assist with design documentation for Sustaining/Continuation Engineering, such as requirements specifications, schematics, PCB artwork, verification test procedures, and test reports under Medivators design control practices
  • Design, conduct failure analyses and develop improvement plans for systems with analog sensing, wireless communications, circuit miniaturization and noise-filtering techniques
  • Plan and conduct or direct product verification/validation testing to evaluate new components and designs
  • Work with limited supervision on issue triage, root cause identification and troubleshooting tasks
  • With a team of electrical/electronic engineers and technicians, develop new or revised board designs for existing electromechanical equipment
  • Draft test protocols, final reports and change documentation
  • Identify or evaluate new vendors as needed
  • Interface with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing to assess opportunities and develop user requirements


  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Experience with Altium
  • Understanding of OrCAD 
  • Experience working with microprocessors and embedded software
  • Familiarity with analog and digital circuitry components and design, printed circuit board (PCB) layout
  • Background in medical devices preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information or reports in area of expertise
  • Ability to communicate technical information and test results in written and verbal form required
  • Second language a strong plus
  • Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematical concepts and basic statistical techniques
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, as well as to interpret market and customer needs and reduce them to technical targets
