A role in Global Logistics, Inventory Allocation and Replenishment means you'll focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world. Here, you'll be challenged to pivot seamlessly from sales operations and planning, to ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, to achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately, guests. And you'll analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness. As a Sr. Manager in Logistics, you'll create and execute improved procurement strategies across the First Mile Import and Global 3PL network.  Through cost analysis and benchmarking, you will drive expense optimization with key market SME's while researching and prospecting developments across the First Mile network.  Leverage your strong analytical thinking to manage your program budgets, extend and negotiate offers, and be fiscally responsible while advancing contracting and capacity management across Target's Global Inventory Management team.  About you:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years' experience in Logistics / Supply Chain industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of budget management practices
  • Strong Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills, adept at converting data / inputs from multiple sources into actionable information
  • Project management skills, capable of managing the RFP process from documentation of baseline costs and service levels through contract execution
  • Strong action/results orientation with the ability to work with minimal oversight, to be self-motivated and proactive in achieving individual/team objective
