    Project Manager for Finance/HR System
    Full Time  12 months  (This is a temporary, two year position)

    Under the direction of the Chief Technology and Information Officer, manage and oversee the implementation of a new Finance/Human Resource system.  Responsibilities will include providing project oversight, gathering project requirements, successful project implementation, providing troubleshooting, and providing user training.

    Creates and successfully implement Finance/HR implementation work plan at the direction of the Chief Technology and Information Officer and in collaboration with district stakeholders.  Revise plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of project.  Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, and deadlines for assigned areas of responsibility.  Schedules and effectively facilitates team meetings related to projects in assigned areas of responsibility.  Provides regular and timely project status updates to project sponsors, Cabinet members and/or School Board members.  Identifies human capital and financial resources needed for successful project implementation, seeks input and guidance as necessary.  Efficiently resolves project issues, identifies areas of risk and establishes contingency plans in assigned areas of responsibility.  Designs and maintain technical and project documentation for assigned areas of responsibility.  Creates and provides end user training in collaboration with vendor resources/supports.  Demonstrates strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.  Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Technology and Information Officer.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in information or technology management, or closely related field and a minimum of five years information systems management and/or project management experience.  Other related administrative or school administration experience may be considered.  Knowledge/understanding of laws, rules, and regulations affecting school district personnel and operations. Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management. Theoretical and practical project management knowledge. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Requires developed mathematical and analytical skills, technical knowledge of computer programming, familiarity with employee data management systems, and high degree of competence with computer programs. Knowledge of educational information systems. Knowledge of information systems and/or data management technology, including Windows, Macintosh and mainframe computing systems. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Excellent in verbal and written communication with a diverse audience. Excellent customer services skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people Ability to effectively present information to administration and other District staff. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day and commit the time necessary to complete the job.

    Preferred Qualifications:  Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent preferred.
