PRIMARY FUNCTIONThis role leads all measurement, reporting and analysis for Target Creative Production including financial management, cost center management, project funding, operational/production performance and resource management. This leader sets the strategy, direction and execution plans for the Measurement and Analysis team to work seamlessly allowing for optimal visibility on past performance and help inform the future through thoughtful analysis.   Additionally, this role has responsibility for the Corporate Archives including setting strategy, ensuring enterprise engagement and governing the collection and processes.    Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partners with Marketing, Finance, Corporate Real Estate, Item COE, TTS, Product Teams, EDABI, Merchandising and Digital leadership to ensure the proper reporting and measures are in place and communicated to meet the needs of Target Creative Production and business strategies
  • Provides guidance and decision support to entire Production team through key measurement and data
  • Gains alignment and approvals on necessary work with key leaders in Target Creative (i.e. what KPIs to track and benchmarks to adhere to)
  • Leads and influences teams to drive efficiencies in operational development and execution by using data and facts
  • Ensures the appropriate talent is aligned to the right work within the team
  • Ensures the optimal technology is leveraged across teams to aid in production quality and efficiency, including optimal data and sources of key information
  • Provides clear communication/feedback to teams internally and externally relative to production work
  • Influences overall operational approach to set benchmarks and measure progress over time for all production of Target Creative using facts and data
  • Understand, define, prioritize and deliver stakeholder need for Target Creative analytics, reporting, and insights. 
  • Develop roadmap to transform the Target Creative Production financial accountability, analytics, and reporting to best serve the organization
  • Build and support business cases for new opportunities (additional studios, production techniques, etc.
  • Lead a team that executes against reporting/analytics and Corporate Archives requests 
  • Recognize that great creative requires the ability to balance between quantitative results with intuition and vision for the long-term creative experience
  • Communicate to leaders and key stakeholders relevant business intelligence updates with context of how these goals align to corresponding strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Own monthly forecasting process for CCO and select Marketing campaigns including entry and maintenance of all production related POs
  • Ensure compliance with CCM processes including set up and maintenance of all Target Creative contract resources
  • Own and refine the strategy for corporate archives including setting direction on scope of collection, technology and operational processes
  • Drive enterprise engagement through alignment with stakeholders and by creating visibility to the archives collection
  • Identify relevant content and establish ways of adding to our collection without disrupting existing processes
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices including metadata management, tools, and legal compliance

Team Management and Development

  • Responsible to identify and develop top talent; leads working teams, contractors and external partners to deliver on production needs

  • Sets clear goals and objectives with ongoing coaching, performance evaluation and feedback to build the best team and do the best work
  • Influences talent indirectly across Marketing
  • Works closely with team and external partners to ensure excellence in creative execution

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Business Intelligence, Management, Operations, Finance, or other related field
  • 8-12 years' experience in leading teams in retail
  • Ability and experience in leading operations or reporting/analytics teams
  • Possesses a high operational acumen, is drawn to newness, open to innovation from a variety of sources, and driven to solve problems creatively
  • Ability to provide clear, and actionable feedback
  • Firm understanding and proven track record of driving the business through facts and data
  • Ability to effective partner with key business leaders across the organization
  • Experience and ability to present to all levels of leadership with confidence
