Vice President of Utility Services

Reporting to the President/CEO of DEA, the Vice President (VP) Utility Services (US) is responsible for the overall direction of the construction, maintenance and safe operation of the electrical distribution facilities and to direct and oversee the ancillary services that support utility plant operations including system control, scheduling services, warehouse/material management and fleet management.

This position provides strategic and tactical leadership to a department of 70 and participates as a member of DEA’s Senior Management Team.  This VP provides project leadership and works closely with all departments to ensure the success of all company related projects.

DEA’s senior management team shares the responsibility for developing and implementing the Cooperative’s vision, mission, values, strategic planning, budget, organization planning and policies.  The VP’s are required to submit monthly reports, attend monthly board meetings and at times present before the board of directors and employees.

Educational Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or electrical engineering is required.
  • An Electrical Line Worker certification and experience is a plus

Professional Experience

  • 10 years’ experience in management experience in electrical distribution construction, maintenance and safe operations for an electric utility
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and motivational skills
  • Department head experience preferred
