Here, your work will exceed the needs of both Target guests and team members, delivering a holistically positive and pleasing experience, every time they walk through our doors.As a Lead Program Manager on our Energy team, you'll lead Energy procurement activities for Target Stores and Distribution Centers and own Budgeting, Forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting for overall Energy Spend.  You'll perform analysis on expenses, financial results, and energy markets in order to manage associated budget(s) within financial guidelines.  Partner with broader team in developing Renewable Energy strategy to further inform procurement decisions.  Interface and lead cross-functional communication with Utilities, external Vendors, Stores, Engineering, Property Management Field Team Members, and other internal teams related to energy procurement, energy efficiency opportunities, and various special projects.Use your talents and experience to performs on-going evaluation of energy procurement opportunities in De-Regulated markets to make informed electricity and natural gas procurement decisions.  Manage related vendor relationships and contracts.  Make decisions that align with Target's expense reduction, renewable energy, and greenhouse gas reduction objectives.  Build business cases and use data/analytics to define opportunities that drive value for Target.  Additionally, you'll have financial accountability for the Store and Distribution center Energy budgets and build our annual and Long Range Plans, providing monthly forecasts, expense tracking, and variance analysis.  Proactively communicate financial trends and risks associated with assigned budgets to finance team and appropriate Target Properties leadership.  Finally, you'll manage projects and develop criteria and work scope for vendors, defining program goals and developing tools and processes to track results against project deliverables.  Job duties may change due to business needs.About you:
  • Bachelors Degree, BA/BS (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years business experience
  • Experience in the Energy, Renewables, or Sustainability space
  • Ability to manage projects, set timeliness and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, financial, reasoning, and organizational skills
  • Develop recommendations to drive expense efficiencies
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to maximize relationships - team player/inspires others/takes partners across all levels of the organization and with outside vendors
