Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with delivery of alumni engagement programs with emphasis on local events, legacy traditions, award/recognition programs, and alumni affinity networks. This position will contribute to the team effort to increase alumni engagement and advance the university. The Program Coordinator interacts with students, alumni, university leaders, donors, community leaders, faculty, staff, and event volunteers.


  • Program and Event Support
    • Supports Program Managers and department leadership in execution of programs and events as assigned
    • Responsible for overseeing events and initiatives as assigned
    • Contributes to new program & event development and implementation
    • Partners with communications, development, logistics and support personnel to ensure programs deliver a world-class experience and drive intended results
    • Manages post-event activities, including debriefs, volunteer recognition, coding and processing invoices and reimbursements, and documentation
    • Works with volunteers related to assigned projects
    • Documents processes and procedures
    • Performs program and event evaluation utilizing established reports and procedures
    • Serves as Alumni Advisory Board sub-committee liaison
    • Participates in relevant departmental committees
  • Administrative
    • Systems utilization
    • Budget monitoring
    • Record and file maintenance
    • Master schedule coordination
    • Partnership with other team members in providing projects for alumni engagement student workers as needed
    • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in program management
  • Experience in planning and delivering successful, high-quality and complex events
  • Knowledge of basic budgetary practices and terminology
