Marketing Assistant - Litigation
Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the Litigation department’s essential business development and marketing functions and special initiatives. In addition to effectively executing a range of tasks, the ideal candidate will have a strong desire to grow in the position, be proactive in support of the team, contribute ideas, and anticipate any obstacles or opportunities; acting with a sense of urgency and personal responsibility. This position can be based in the Minneapolis or Philadelphia office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the Litigation Marketing Managers and Coordinators with facilitating proposal/marketing document and collateral management, maintaining the department’s central library of litigation marketing collateral, fulfilling requests for client-focused pitches and proposals, and conducting client, competitor and industry research for business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess stellar interpersonal skills and be a collaborative team player with strong service orientation and work ethic. The incumbent will use sound judgment and analytical skills to identify solutions to challenges as they arise, and will possess the ability to synthesize and communicate complex subjects clearly and concisely.
Requirements include a college degree; 0-2 years’ work experience; corporate or professional services experience a plus; excellent writing and editing skills with knowledge of grammar, style, and spelling; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to work overtime on occasion.
