Humera is looking for a Receptionist with our client in St Paul, MN. Our client is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in Minnesota that addresses the needs of individuals living with a disorder and the families and caregivers struggling to support them, by promoting education and prevention about alcohol-related birth defects. The candidate in this position will support our client by providing excellent customer service to visitors and guests while acting as the front line representative.
  • Promptly greet and direct clients, visitors and general public
  • Answer and relay calls promptly and appropriately. Take accurate, complete messages and relay quickly
  • Perform specific projects for various departments as directed (labeling, stuffing envelopes, etc.)
  • Act as a resource for general phone procedures and general information
  • Sort and slot all mail received internally and from outside daily
  • File, photocopy and record necessary documents and distribute to recipients in a timely manner
  • Unpack office supplies and stock supply room, distribute incoming supplies in a timely manner. Stock all incoming paper and letterhead to appropriate storage locations
  • Shipping and receiving of all packages. Become and remain familiar with various standard procedures for the shipment of all packages to all locations
  • Move packages/boxes in a safe, efficient, timely manner within the downtown area as requested
  • Assist with hospitality services as requested

  • Minimum of high school graduation or equivalent certificate is required
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment
  • Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations
  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in taking initiative while asking for direction or clarification and consulting with others, as appropriate
