The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members Cooperative Credit Union in living out its mission to be the primary positive financial influence in the lives of our members/owners.
One of the primary means to achieve this end is to develop a highly effective team of employees and developing each employee to their highest potential through coaching and leadership.
Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal customers and external members. A key component of this service to internal customers and the credit union is to identify the probability of losses and recoveries; and a key component for members is identify appropriate member solutions.
This position is responsible for managing the debt collection process of the credit union’s loan portfolio to ensure that delinquency rates and loss ratios are kept at manageable levels, and to help monitor adherence to the credit union’s loan and collection policies.
Qualifications Include: 4-year college degree in business or a related field and at least six years of financial industry collections experience, a portion of which includes relevant management experience; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Experience in lending and/or supervising people is desirable.
