Description: Primary Function The Manager HR Diversity & Inclusion collaborates with pyramid business teams and HR leadership to provide insight, consult and lead the development of strategic approaches in service of advancing prioritized areas of opportunity within Diversity and Inclusion at Target.  Serves as SWAT resource to help advance lagging business teams or groups in achievement of Diversity and Inclusion goals.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Organizational Analysis and Prioritization
  • Organizes data and insights from various resources to assess pyramid Diversity and Inclusion health; analyzes data at a detailed level to understand micro results (e.g. demographic, ethnicity)
  • Identifies areas of greatest opportunity to advance Diversity and Inclusion business and team goals in service of driving business results
  • Identifies areas of white space opportunity in Diversity and Inclusion ecosystem; assume a curious and creative mindset to identify opportunities
  • Provides summarized analysis of data and insights
  • Drives development of recommendations to align with HR and pyramid business leaders on work prioritization
Business Partnership and Strategy Development
  • Interacts with HR and pyramid leaders, often L8+, to influence Diversity and Inclusion strategy
  • Sets direction and provides guidance on strategies to achieve Diversity and Inclusion business and team goals
  • Understands pyramid business and aligns Diversity and Inclusion strategies to drive business performance
  • Acts as trusted consultant and partner; builds rapport quickly with multiple partners
  • Communicates strategies and plans to all relevant stakeholdersProject Management
  • Lead and implement Enterprise, Human Resources and Pyramid Diversity & Inclusion strategic initiatives
  • Develop robust project plans and timelines inclusive of assignment of roles, facilitation of routines, and management of information
  • Lead, motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Organizes pyramid and cross-functional team to execute against operational plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years of strategy development and/or project management experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills; can design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions
  • Proven track record or critical thinking; ability to leverage data and insights to influence and develop/track solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with broad cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility, resiliency and nimbleness; comfortable working in “grey areas”
