COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST Position DescriptionThis position is responsible to develop and implement marketing strategies to build and nurture relationships with key community-based organizations as well as educating and generating interest of specific segments of the public on UCare products and services to generate sales. This position is also responsible for Senior Ambassador Program engagement and communications.·Identify opportunities with key community organizations, providers, vendors, broker partners, and county agencies to build brand awareness, assure a positive corporate image, and leverage those relationships to see a positive ROI.·Act as a continuous source of creative ideas and solutions to increase sales through marketing and promotional opportunities. Plan, coordinate, and attend events aimed at reaching the public (or a specific segment of the public) to generate interest, educate, and drive sales. ·Build and maintain a network of UCare Senior Ambassadors. Serve as the contact person for communications and engagement strategies. ·Collaborate with UCare staff and committees that focus on member and/or community interactions with the organization.·Provide oversight, coordination, and tracking of all sales team outreach events and activities.·Assist with Member Advisory Committees·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or health care related field preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minnesota Accident and Health Insurance license required or must be obtained after six months of hire. Required ExperienceThree or more years of experience in a health plan or health care setting with responsibilities that include community outreach and organizing special events. Travel is required, must have reliable transportation.Preferred Experience
