From brand and patent law to contract development and negotiations, you'll be challenged and gratified by a role with Target Legal Affairs.A role in Strategy and Operations means creating the effective and efficient processes and tools that Legal Affairs uses to deliver exceptional service to their enterprise clients. Your support will be key in times of change and to ensure the success of large-scale business projects. You'll build valuable relationships and make a positive impact as you coordinate critical resources across teams.As a Lead Risk and Compliance Operations Consultant, you will lead enterprise policy lifecycle management including policy creation, review, publishing, updating, retention, integration, and exceptions.  You will integrate new and updated policies into training and communication strategies to empower team members and contractors with updated understand of Target's policies.  Job responsibilities include:
  • Developing and delivering consistent enterprise policies and guidelines for Target
  • Translating business, legal, and regulatory requirements into clear and concise policy statements
  • Identifying and managing policy exceptions across the enterprise
  • Providing data, information collection, and analytical support, and managing delivery of special projects
  • Proactively identifing solutions that may provide benefit across the Legal Affairs business unit and other related functions
  • Coordinating and enhancing collaboration for projects spanning multiple teams and other related functions, including to conduct analysis on current and new projects
  • Being a subject-matter resource on and demonstrate leadership in policy lifecycle management
  • Training, coaching, leading, and inspiring team on policy management and aligning work and setting priorities accordingly
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining Legal Affairs business unit policy management governance processes (incorporating policy management requirements for Target overall)
  • Leading team in close collaboration with groups across Target to understand policies for specific areas (integrated risk, compliance, ethics, privacy, corporate security, vendor risk management, etc.), gathering applicable subject-matter content, and drafting applicable policies and procedures and routing through review process(es)
  • Overseeing and facilitating the regular/annual review and approval of existing policies and guidelines through formal governance
  • Maintaining processes and data repositories of policy lifecycle management
Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:
  • B.A/B.S degree or equivalent experience
  • 6 to 8 years' overall business experience, including 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience with policy management
  • Ability to collaborate and maintain relationships with partners in other parts of the business
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong focus on the needs of Target Team Members within the Legal Affairs business unit and ability to manage expectations
  • Proven ability to partner and influence a wide network
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
