A role in Store Design means the opportunity to apply your innovative and sustainable architectural design and technical expertise. Your work will ultimately help define the physical experience.  The interactions and connectivity between the physical, digital and human elements Target develops for our guest, will evolve the brand image in store and ultimately support Target's business strategies. You'll interpret program and scope details to integrate them with interior and exterior site design and aesthetic for new stores, remodels and innovation projectsPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Lead Designer - Project Execution, you will use your skills, experience and talents to:
  • Create and/or manage solutions that consider efficient construction methods, meet budget requirements, and remain true to the original design intent
  • Identify and propose ideas for process improvement or design strategy 
  • Support the rapid iteration of design concepts that integrate leadership and/or peer feedback
  • Manage the design & document production processes with external consultants; ensuring projects remain on-schedule and within established budget
  • Manage coordination, schedules, project documentation, permit tracking, & issue resolution with internal partners and external consultants for assigned programs
  • Monitor scope requirements, documenting approved change requests,  and coordinate implementation of changes across assigned projects and programs
  • Act as primary liaison between design consultants (Architecture & Engineering), and internal stakeholders (including Target Architecture, Engineering, Store Planning, Construction)
  • Support onboarding, training, and evaluation processes for assigned consultant partners
 About you:
  • 4 Year accredited degree (interior design or architecture)
  • 6+ Years relevant experience (retail preferred)
  • Experience executing programs with significant cross-functional representation
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and project management skills
  • Proven analytical skills in relation to programming, space allocation, planning and design.
