A role with Target Packaging is an opportunity to lead the development of packaging for Target's beloved owned brands, exclusive partnerships and select transit packaging. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through packaging that's guest-centric, on brand, competitive “at shelf” and category relevant. Here, you'll leverage internal and external partnerships to execute packaging planning, project management, print development, copy and structural development to achieve brand expression and market differentiation. Your work will prioritize and manage packaging projects, securing the correct resources and creative needs to deliver on time and budget. As part of a global team spanning the U.S., China and India, you'll have partners at TSS offices overseas, as well as international vendors and suppliers As a Sr Marketing Manager Packaging, you will…Operate at the intersection of guest, brand, and business.  Be the packaging expert in multiple business CFTs, leading brand and category level packaging work.  You will have expert-level understanding of marketplace, consumer and category trends, as well as broader marketing and merchandising strategies to develop innovative solutions. Author packaging briefs and lead others to develop packaging designs and messaging that delivers on owned brand principles and positioning. Effectively collaborate with key cross-functional leaders to identify and drive strategic initiatives that support owned brand business. You will commission and synthesize packaging insights from Target Guest Center of Excellence and third party researchers, as well as have an ongoing understanding of what is happening in the market for relevant categories.  This will allow you to see solution from a guest's perspective while delivering against business needs without sacrificing brand integrity.   • Bachelor's degree
  • Six to eight years of work experience, preferably in Brand Marketing.
  • Lead peers and partners in the evaluation of work through a brand and guest lens.Incorporate relevant guest insights, business strategy, and brand positioning to packaging work.
  • Strong strategic and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills across settings, tailoring message as appropriate.
  • Is resourceful and able to work independently on filling in gaps of information.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility in approach and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Has curiosity and drive for seeking and promoting new ideas, in combination with solid business judgment.
