As a Lead Talent Management Consultant, you'll act as a practice owner for the entire talent planning portfolio across the enterprise (e.g. talent reviews, talent pools, rotational programs). Through benchmarking and internal stakeholder engagement, you will continually evaluate processes and resources, ensuring seamless integration with broader HR and leader routines, and alignment to Target's strategy.  You will leverage your strong collaboration and business acumen to act as a strategic talent advisor and consultant to a segment of HR leadership and their teams (e.g. HQ/Global, Supply Chain, or Stores) to continue building talent management capability, bring enterprise and functional insights and best practices, and help HR teams drive talent outcomes within the businesses they support. You will also act as a key liaison to key stakeholder teams (e.g. Planning & Delivery, Compensation, ER).Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description.  Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior Talent Management and/or HR Business Partner experience, preferably in an organization with both corporate and field-based teams
  • Ability to assume a lead role for a practice with enterprise impact
  • Strong project management skills across projects with varying size and scope; ability to operate independently
  • Able to build strong relationships and networks and provide strategic partnership to leaders
  • Comfort communicating with senior leaders and presenting in front of large audiences
  • Continuous learner
  • Experience with Workday or driving talent practices in a HCM system strongly preferred
