Description: About us:Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.The Lead Product Owner represents the “voice of the customer” for all stakeholders by maintaining and prioritizing the backlog to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers.  The Enterprise Item team products collect, validate, and disseminate item-level information that enables items to be displayed, sold, and delivered to guests across all Target's channels.  Guests' expectations for accurate, complete and relevant Product Information is increasing every day and our business operations require high quality data to drive execution. 

As a Lead Product Owner for Enterprise item, you will work in the product model and partner to develop a ­­­comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product.  You will use your experience to identify and implement Enterprise item strategies and tools.  You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, engineering input and user/partner feedback, to assess value, develop future use cases and prioritize the direction of the product.  You will be the “voice of the product” to all key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful.  You will develop and actively maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.The item attribute modernization product owner role is responsible for modernizing item level master data management across all Target products.  The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of legacy systems as well as a strategic vision on how data should be managed and properly leveraged across the enterprise.  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the ideation and framing problems that result in launching innovative products.
  • Establish a vision and roadmap to be shared with stakeholders and validated with users.
  • Partner with design team for usability studies and research to improve user experience
  • Define and track the metrics that matter to the users and monitor with dashboards.
  • Possess and fosters a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles. Has a bias toward action. Resists the status quo.
  • Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product. 
  • Maintain a roadmap and backlog:  Create user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy and metrics
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end user experience integration points and team dependencies.
  • Encourage the open exchange of information and diverse viewpoints
  • Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's directionJOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience with 1-2 years in a product role (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with internal tool development and ability to facilitate communication between users and technology teams
  • Demonstrated competency for the technical and data aspects of APIs
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, etc) with User Experience partners
  • An understanding of change management in context of task and outcome automation
  • Superior data and analytical skills including the ability to define and decompose product key results and metrics
  • Expertise in discovery and mapping exercises to evaluate the best solution to problem definition
  • Ability to assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional software product teams, business partners and manage key stakeholder requirements
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree required, digital or commensurate experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
