    STAFFING AND TRAINING SUPPORT DESK

    Full Time  260 days/8 hrs/day

    Responsible for the preparation of and meeting with newly hired administrators, principals, and special education supervisors; support data relating to the staffing of certified staff using Microsoft Access; support the organization and tracking of training for staff development; paperwork processing for new employees; organization and follow up for criminal background checks; and processing employee paperwork for summer school.

    Duties include but at not limited to: 
    Provide and assist new employees with required employment documents and/or contracts, including customer assistance at the front desk, phone calls, and mailings.
    Prepare files and process employment paperwork and contracts for certified staff.
    Enter request and follow up on criminal background checks to new employees.
    Review requirements/eligibility and processes new employment paperwork for
    extra service agreements.
    Prepare contracts and meet with newly hired administrators, principals, & special education supervisors/consultants.
    Use district’s learning management system to assign, track and report on various training courses for staff and their completion of those courses.
    Determine salary schedule placement & benefit eligibility for new teachers in accordance with negotiated language during high peak seasons.
    Collaborate with administrators and supervisors regarding assessment of training needs for staff.
    Schedule and maintain training calendar including presenter, locations, times, set up and communication to all participants.
    Request & verify annual calendars for assistant principals and teachers as needed.
    Verify & process requests for additional days for assistant principals.
    Process employment paperwork for certified staff working summer school.
    Work with all Employee Services staff to provide excellent customer service.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to deal routinely with confidential information. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling employee information. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a professional and timely manner. Excellent and highly effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and work cooperatively with department staff and others. Treat all with dignity and respect. Must have strong math aptitude. Proficient with Microsoft Office software especially Word, Excel, and Access. Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods. Knowledge of the impact work has on the District. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:  Must be a people person - very outgoing.  Ability to manage many tasks with frequent interruptions preferred.  2 + years experience working in a school district or educational setting preferred.  Experience in Human Resources desired.

    Salary:  $1,338 bi-weekly. Excellent benefits package.

    Start Date:  ASAP after closing.
