Rapid Response Team RN
The Rapid Response Team RN serves as a resource for critical patient assessments and assistance in arrest situations.
At least 2 years of ICU experience is required.
The role of the RRT nurse is to:
Respond to calls from wards to assist with management of deteriorating patients
Follow-up evaluations of all RRT calls
Assume leadership role at all cardio/pulmonary arrests
Provide critical outreach to ward patients:
Evaluate medicine admissions for appropriateness
Ongoing education of ward staff on management of patients in acute situations
Regular ongoing assessment of ICU transfers to ward during the first 24-48 hours post transfer.
Work Schedule: Full-time D/E position that is six 12 hour shifts and one 8 hour shift.
