A role in Store Design means the opportunity to apply your innovative and sustainable architectural design and technical expertise. Your work will ultimately help define the physical experience.  The interactions and connectivity between the physical, digital and human elements Target develops for our guest, will evolve the brand image in store and ultimately support Target's business strategies. You'll interpret program and scope details to integrate them with interior and exterior site design and aesthetic for new stores, remodels and innovation projects.PRIMARY FUNCTIONIn this role, the Design Strategy Lead is responsible for the development phase of newly created initiatives that may impact new store, remodel and special project programs.  This position is responsible for collaborating with and identifying key partnerships for the creation and adherence to critical design milestones.  Leads multiple store planning & design functions including alignment meetings with senior leadership.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the rapid iteration of new design concepts by leading project-level cross-functional teams through the change process, with limited definition and direction
  • Ensure total cost of ownership is understood prior to approving change
  • Communicate major milestones for new design initiatives across enterprise-wide teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation
  • Independently manages complex projects and produces multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of the business related systems, processes, or tools and how they support business goals and objectives
  • Effectively identify, propose, prioritize, and lead initiatives that optimize design development processes and maximize productivity
  • Effectively presents, communicates, and manages expectations regarding project and business strategies, statuses, risk mitigation and key decisions to all levels of the organization
