Now hiring Office Assistant in Rosemount

CPA firm needs versatile, organized and efficient person to cover customer service, light accounting and payroll duties in an 7 person firm on a full-time basis.

General Responsibilities:
Answering and routing phone calls
Greeting clients
Postage machine and mail duties
Creating and maintain files and ordering office supplies
Customer contact including handing out tax returns to clients
Light typing of letters, forms, etc. using Word and other programs
Scan client documents into client electronic files
Other duties as assigned

Accounting and Payroll Responsibilities:
Data input of client accounting information
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles (debits and credits)
Payroll recording of client prepared payroll checks
Prepare federal, Minnesota and other payroll forms
File sales tax reports with Minn DOR
Record cash receipts with deposits
Do monthly billing for firm and maintain AR records and resolve billing issues
Make occasional collection calls on past due accounts
Participate in special projects
Other accounting/payroll duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Prior office administration and data input experience required including 10 key.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office software and Adobe Acrobat.
Use of QuickBooks would be a plus.
Strong interpersonal verbal and written communications skills required.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced office setting.
Strong customer service skills to help a wide range of clients.
Ability to prioritize workload effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Associates degree preferred, but not required. This is a full-time position with additional overtime hours required from January 1st to April 15th - tax season. Overtime paid after 40 hrs per week. Benefits include retirement plan, vacation, sick pay and holiday pay.
