Inginaire is seeking a Program Manager for our client in Anoka, MN. Our client is a contract manufacturing injection molding company that specializes in medical devices. The person in this role will work closely with the Estimation team, Design Team, Manufacturing Engineering Team, Operations and Quality Management to support our strategic business objectives. Responsibilities will include assisting in administrative functions of project-related assignments including overall planning, tracking and documentation of one or several projects from the project proposal phase to the project closeout. This is a 4-8 week long contract position. Duties

  • Develop Gantt charges for individual projects and/or customer orders received
  • Work with Design, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing/Procurement (Supply Chain) to establish critical milestones and timelines to meet customer requirements in terms of delivery
  • Document project meetings between Design, Engineering, and the Customer or Sales/Manufacturing Representative
  • Coordinate pre-and post-production analysis
  • Document work instructions through interaction with operators on the floor that supports plastic injection molding, assembly and secondary operations and other technical requirements related to a given project
  • Develop and create SOPs, flow charts, etc. for molded plastic / assembly related projects
  • Develop database and project folders for cataloguing the following:
    • Conceptual drawings
    • Design drawings
    • CAD models
    • All correspondence via emails, phone conversations, meeting minutes, etc.
    • Customer drawings
    • Meeting minutes
    • Prints for Manufacturing
    • BOM's & Routers
    • Prints & models for fixtures
  • Work within quality system to ensure quality guidelines and standards
  • Work in conjunction with Purchasing to maintain the supplier forecast spreadsheets to keep our supplies abreast of upcoming work to meet the critical timelines in the project
  • Assist in the generation of a customer-specific requirement database to ensure a clear and concise record of Quality Documents in accordance with each project
  • Update and maintain metrics for projects
  • Organize and schedule customer project meetings and publish meeting minutes
  • Attend weekly Engineering meetings and publish meeting minutes
  • Coordinate order acknowledgements with Sales and Admin Manager (who is the Admin Manager - should this be Engineering Administrator?)
  • Provide administrative support to the Engineering Manager
  • Meet or exceed the on-time delivery goal on new projects to the customer
  • Meet or exceed the RFQ through-put metric
  • Lead the team and become the expert in: Project Management for the Plastic Injection Molding segment
  • Monitor the utilization of employee safety and operational excellence (OE) programs
  • Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study
  • Detail oriented and organized in terms of developing action plans, schedules and timelines
  • Ability to multi-task on plastic injection molding & assembly project assignments
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and blue prints
  • Advanced computer skills in: MS Office products (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint), MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project, and other business related systems
  • Ability to navigate through CAD models and make minor changes and manipulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of QSM, ISO 9001/13485, GMP, FDA regulation
  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long term business results
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills

Desirable Criteria and Qualifications
  • Proficient in CAD
  • Supervisory experience
  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in the Medical Plastic Injection Molding Industry
