CommonBond Communities is excited to announce an opportunity for full time (40 hrs/week) Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist performs professional-level responsibilities in support of the Human Resources function. At CommonBond the HR Generalist serves specific client groups within the organization and performs duties in all functional areas of Human Resources. This position also provides subject matter expertise to the department in the areas of Recruitment and would complete all the organization’s reporting relating to Affirmative Action.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Serves leaders and employees in the portfolio group in a full range of HR Generalist work. Performs duties to include employee relations and investigations, performance management, employee engagement, recognition, and recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
• Collaborates with HR colleagues and other stakeholders on training, policy development, safety, and new employee orientation.
• Administers leave of absence policies and processes regarding FMLA, worker’s compensation, personal leaves, etc.
• Performs required reporting on CommonBond’s Affirmative Action Plan.
• Serves as the subject matter expert to HR colleagues in matters related to recruitment and Affirmative Action Plans. Performs AA analysis and reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Industrial Relations, Business, or other related field, plus a minimum of 3 years professional or generalist-level experience in human resources, including 1 year of experience with various employee benefits.
• Experience with HRIS programs, UltiPro preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to coach employees and managers through complex, difficult or sensitive issues.
• Proven knowledge of best practices, standards, and laws relevant to employment matters and the ability to make recommendations that effectively resolve issues by using judgment that is consistent with them.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational and detail orientation skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively multi-task and prioritize work.
• Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects to conclusion.
• Superior ability and application of windows-based software and use of MS-Office software.
• Ability to complete statistical analysis.
