    TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - PRINTSHOP - GRAPHIC DESIGNER 

    Full Time  260 days/8 hrs/day

    Responsible for the design and production of school district materials in a fast pace, fun, working environment.  Requires the simultaneous design and production of multiple projects for district schools and departments that meet district branding.  Position will also assist Printshop Supervisor with order intake and accounting functions.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Develop graphics and layout for print and web
    • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, font styles and size
    • Creates proofs and reviews final layouts for customer approval
    • Prepares final layout for print or web
    • Maintains image resource files
    • Maintain frequent communication with customers, print shop team, and other departments
    • Assist with the intake of incoming work
    • File maintenance
    • Assist with accounting functions
    • Provide high quality customer service and support
    • Respond efficiently to phone calls and emails
    • Assist with customer pick-ups
    • Direct customers to proper department staff

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • One year of recent related job experience
    • Proficient in Quark and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office software on both Mac and PC platforms
    • Knowledge of TIES and SKYWARD
    • Knowledge of graphic design, production and printing operations
    • Knowledge of machinery and equipment used in print shop and duplication operations
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and customers
    • Strong creative design and organizational skills a must
    • Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned duty day
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
    • Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices, and materials handling, data functions, and people functions

    Preferred Qualifications:  Degree in graphic design preferred.  Current resume preferred.

    Rate of pay:  $20.40/hour and up, DOQ, plus benefits.

    Start Date:  ASAP after closing.
