Pro Staff in partnership with a large ethanol plant in Lake Crystal is looking for highly skilled candidates to join our team as a Maintenance Technician!

Our ideal candidate would have a strong mechanical aptitude, preventative maintenance experience, be comfortable with troubleshooting and have a strong work ethic. Electrical troubleshooting, fabrication or welding experience a plus!

Job Duties:
  • Coordinate work functions with fellow team members and other departments within the plant.  
  • Maintain all plant equipment including, but not limited to: centrifuges, pumps, motors, gearboxes, minor electrical systems, PLC’s, heat exchangers, compressors, grain handling equipment and fans or blowers. 
  • Discuss any problems or unsafe conditions with the management team. 
  • Learn the plant process for a better understanding of how the equipment is utilized. 
  • Operate equipment including, but not limited to: telehandler, skid steers, tractors, ATVs, pay loaders and fork lifts. 
  • Perform welding, cutting and fabrication on plant and structural equipment. 
  • Responsible for concrete work including building forms, pouring and finishing. 
  • Understand the basic operation of the biorefining process to better understand how the equipment and controls are utilized. 

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• 2 or more years of experience with fabrication, welding, torching, cutting, gearbox repair, pump alignment, material handling systems, preventative maintenance, instrument and electrical work preferred.
• Experience with software systems, such as Maximo, preferred.
• Working knowledge in math, reading comprehension and mechanical reasoning required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills are required.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.

This position operates on a 12 hour shift (7-7) rotating on a 4 week basis. Compensation starts at $19.50/hr.
