Inginaire is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our client in Faribault, MN. This position will drive the processes governing supplier quality. The SQE will interface with the supplier base and other business unit departments to qualify new suppliers and parts, resolve nonconformities, and drive continuous process and product improvements as a member of the internal audit team. This is a Direct-Hire Opportunity!
Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Support the business unit with regard to the supplier quality needs.
  • Assess supplier performance by performing analytical analysis on performance data and provide reports/communicate findings regarding this performance to the Business Unit.
  • Have regular contact with current company suppliers and potential new suppliers
  • Responsible for assessing potential new suppliers and making recommendations regarding approval.
  • Responsible for issuing supplier level corrective actions and providing assistance to suppliers in implementing the corrective actions. Also responsible for tracking the corrective actions to ensure response and effectiveness.
  • Represent quality in all required aspects of new product development (NPI).
  • Understand Six Sigma and Lean Enterprise concepts and the ability to apply related tool sets.
  • Some travel may be required.

Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a technical field, preferably engineering; at least two plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Certificates and Licenses
- ASQ Certification: QC Engineer, Auditor.
- Six Sigma Certification: Green or Black belt.
