Berkel Midwest Sales & Service, Inc. is a corporation formed to take over three existing branch operations from Berkel Incorporated. Berkel Incorporated had thirty-three (33) branch operations in the United States which were engaged in service & sales. Berkel Incorporated had terminated its branch operations and sold them to interested parties and / or existing distributors of their products. The new company, Berkel Midwest Sales & Service, Inc. acquired the existing Berkel offices in Chicago, St. Louis, and Minneapolis.

In December 1997 Berkel Midwest opened its 4th branch in Milwaukee Wisconsin, then in 2005,to further assist customers in the Chicago market, Berkel Midwest acquired the food service division of Cozzini Brother's Knife Sharpening, and in 2013, its 5th in South Bend Indiana. Most recently, Berkel Midwest opened an office in Indianapolis Indiana in 2017.
