 REPORTS TO:  Director of Development and Institutional Giving

Primary Purpose:  Implement an effective corporate giving program to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward corporate prospects, donors, and sponsors. Write and manage annual, capital, and sponsorship proposals and reports. Manage grant proposal calendar, and all aspects of corporate donor and sponsor record-keeping and reporting.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Write grant proposals, sponsorship applications, and reports
  • Create material for solicitation and stewardship purposes, including contracts and invoices
  • Manage and update grant proposal calendar and varied reports
  • Develop and prepare reports on status of institutional grants
  • Manage grant materials and attachments
  • Gather and organize relevant text and data from Orchestra departments to keep proposals and other development communications updated
  • Develop and  maintain mailing lists and reports
  • Update and maintain corporate donor information in Raiser’s Edge
  • Proactively seek new sponsorship and grant opportunities
  • Design and implement systems and procedures to fulfill corporate donor and sponsor benefits
  • Maintain professional interaction with corporate donors and sponsors to facilitate donor recognition and sponsorship fulfillment
  • Work closely with members of the Institutional Giving team
  • Other development duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university. Minimum of five years of professional corporate philanthropic and sponsorship fundraising experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills. High skill level on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Raiser’s Edge programs. Commitment to quality, including ability to follow directions precisely, pay attention to detail and provide excellent follow-through.  Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, team centered environment.
