Detailed Description:

As a  Therapist, you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychosocial services for patients of PrairieCare
  • Seek to enhance the functioning of patients
  • Provide group, family, and individual therapy to assigned patients
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings
  • Provide clinical education to staff
  • Collect progress measures and coordinate care with treatment teams
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling with the After School Programs Supervisor to ensure adequate program support
  • Complete intake meetings
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans and complete discharge planning/meetings
  • Coordinate care with outpatient providers upon admissions and discharge
  • Communicate with families to keep them involved with treatment decisions
  • Contribute to the interdisciplinary team a unique training perspective in family systems and social work theory
  • Potentially supervise master’s level family therapy, counseling, or social work interns (based on qualifications)
  • Provide coverage for other therapists as need arises


  • Master’s degree
  • Current license in the state of Minnesota as an LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance
  • Oriented and educated in gender, culture, and age appropriate care
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form
  • Experience in intensive psychiatric and addiction healthcare setting preferred
