Position Description

This position is responsible to support UCare key provider communication initiatives and projects including editorial and technical coordination and website content management. Collaborate with other UCare departments to maximize efficiency, consistency and accuracy in corporate communications with UCare's provider network.  Specific duties and responsibilities include:


Review content and edit provider communications to ensure they are clear, concise and free of grammatical errors.

Support the development and distribution of the monthly provider e-newsletter and ad hoc provider bulletins.

Coordinate timely and accurate deployment of provider website updates.

Maintain provider website content and design. Support website re-design efforts, as needed.

Execute email campaigns and maintain email database. Implement initiatives to increase/enhance accounts enrolled in Constant Contact account.

Assist with the cross-departmental project to review and update UCare's Provider Manual. Design final Provider Manual.

Assist with editorial and consulting duties with other departments on provider communications, bulletins and UCare's provider website content.

Participate in the development and execution of provider educational programs and training materials, including talking points for the Provider Assistance Center.

Identify opportunities to evolve the processes and/or tools used to support Provider Communications at UCare.

Participate in various cross-departmental work groups and committees as assigned.

Other duties and projects as assigned. 


Bachelor's or advanced degree in communications-related field; demonstrated experience or coursework may be considered in lieu of degree. 

Required Experience

Three years of communications or marketing experience, or demonstrated ability to effectively perform communication functions, preferably in a managed care organization, health delivery setting, such as physician group practice, hospital, health insurance, or community service agency.

Preferred Experience

Experience with health plan/provider communication/marketing issues. Media relations, health care, and web site copywriting experience preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel.
