GR PROJECT COORDINATOR Position DescriptionThis position is responsible to use project management methodology and tools, lead and manage or assist departmental and cross-departmental projects that support the organization's strategic plan/department's annual plan, regulatory requirements, or operational efficiencies. Projects may include leading, coordinating and/or supporting: state/federal regulatory non-financial audits; Medicare Advantage applications and readiness checklists; readiness for, and responses to, state requests for comment or proposals; cross-departmental responses to state/federal concerns; materials timelines and projects; research; and ad hoc projects. Represent Government Relations department for implementation of new systems and draft/update department policies and procedures.·Create project plans that meet regulatory and business needs for assigned projects. Using project management methodology and tools, develop and maintain project documentation on SharePoint, such as charters and issues logs. Ensure stakeholder access to project documentation. ·Manage project timelines and deliverables. Facilitate and document project meetings to ensure progress towards timelines and deliverables, including escalation, if needed, of decision making needed to continue progress. ·Identify, document and address project challenges by facilitating development of solutions and making recommendations to the department's Associate Directors and/or Vice President.·Represent Government Relations department in cross-departmental, enterprise-based projects. Keep appropriate department teams informed of project activities and, as needed, manage department assignments.·Support the development of project budgets. Support Vice President by identifying strategic or operational efficiencies as part of annual budget planning.·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's degree; demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Required Experience
Two years of demonstrated project management experience, including facilitating and leading cross-functional teams. Understanding of project management concepts and methodologies.Preferred ExperienceExperience leading projects in a health care setting. Practical experience in managed care, government programs or health plans. Microsoft Project and/or Gantt charts. SharePoint. PMI certification.
