The College of St. Scholastica is seeking a full time, tenure track faculty member to join a robust School of Education Department. The School of Education provides innovative programs for teacher education in a variety of formats including face-to-face, online and hybrid. Our faculty is committed to preparing effective and caring teachers that are knowledgeable in content, pedagogy and who demonstrate effective dispositions. We are seeking candidates with experience using educational technology effectively while planning and delivering course content in both the undergraduate and graduate education programs. The candidate will teach education foundation and methods courses across licensure areas with a focus on inclusive practices. The faculty member contributes to an educational and work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for an development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. Candidates with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively between programs and among colleagues on multiple campuses are highly sought.

Required Qualifications:
-Earned Doctorate Degree
-Minimum of 5 years K-12 classroom teaching experience.
-Knowledge of best practice classroom pedagogy
-Effective communication and collaboration skills
-Strong problem solving skills
-Promotes and values diversity and inclusion by fostering a climate of cultural competence.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in Higher Education
-Experience with curriculum development and writing
-Experience in advising
-Experience in clinical field observations
-Experience using educational technology effectively
-Experience working effectively with diverse populations
