Applying big data, business intelligence and data science concepts to modern data management challenges, the Data Strategy and Governance team is leading the industry in data management innovation and automation.

As a Senior Data Management Strategy Analyst you will apply your strengths in fact-based and analytical problem solving, critical and conceptual thinking, and your passion for data to shape Target's data landscape.Contribute to thought-leadership, research and develop key ideas and concepts, evaluate hypotheses and measure results through data-driven approaches to drive reliability and ease-of-use of Target's data.

  • Contributes to thought-leadership for programmatic data management and automated governance; research and develop key ideas, themes and concepts; develop and test hypotheses; acquire data as needed to support
  • Understands and applies product thinking to identify solutions and offerings that drive value and meet customer needs
  • Creates mechanisms for visibility to team priorities and transparency into progress against goals; understands and identifies impediments to goals and takes partners to facilitate resolution
  • Creates ways to help improve communication and collaboration

  • Demonstrates solid understanding and ability to use BI technologies for routine and non-routine tasks, including the creation of dashboards, reports and notifications
  • Performs data selection queries and manipulation operations in order to profile and use data

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Data movement knowledge, tech understanding of data movement/data lifecycle/process flow.
  • Knowledge/SME in specific business systems
  • Understand/document processes
