Description: Sr. Inventory Ops Analyst - Small Formats A&AJob Description:

Take on a leadership role within Target's high visibility Small Format and supply chain initiatives as a member of the Small Format Run State team within IM Operations.  Drive results in collaboration with a broad network of senior leaders and partners across merchandising, planning, IM, and supply chain to provide inventory insights, and develop replenishment strategies, for our Small Format store growth strategy.  As the senior analyst for the A&A pyramid, you will be responsible for implementing, evaluating, and evolving Small Format replenishment strategies to exceed guest expectations and support enterprise growth.

As a Small Format SRA, you will…

• Proactively identify inventory trends across Small Format stores to achieve and maintain green Instock and out-of-stock positions.

• Provide Small Format inventory insights and best practices to IM Sr. Directors, Sr. Managers, and IA's via the weekly business review process.

• Coach and develop core IA's around unique Small Format inventory needs.

• Partner with Small Format Merchandising team to create inventory strategies that support merchandising initiatives.

• Develop Small Format specific transition, company space, and EOS strategies.

• Work closely with New Store and Small Format Future Capabilities teams to identify process and capability gaps and implement sustainable solutions.

• Represent and champion Inventory Management needs within our Global Supply Chain and Logistics transformation.

• Be flexible and willing to help with broader A&A priorities across New Stores as needed.

• Become the expert.  Learn new problem solving skills to identify root cause, demonstrate deep understanding, educate others, and develop sustainable solutions.


• 4-year degree

• 2+ years of experience in Target merchandising.

• Flexibility, resiliency, and nimbleness; comfortable working in ‘grey areas' that are constantly changing.

• Desire to interact and build partnerships with teams outside of Inventory Management including Merchandising, Planning, Distribution, Store Ops, FC Ops, Finance.

• Demonstrated ability to innovate and challenge the status quo.

• Working understanding of Target IM Replenishment systems.

• Ability to balance both short and long term priorities.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skill sets.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Prior experience within Inventory Management

• Undergraduate degree in supply chain, operations
