A role on the Financial Planning and Analysis team means providing insight and guidance to support Target's strategic growth strategies and financial decisions. You'll deliver objective and financially-focused insights to the business owners and finance leaders. You will be a critically important resource for long-term and annual financial planning, analysis and drive cross-company initiatives.  

As a Sr Financial Analyst, MFA - Negotiations Finance, you will be responsible for developing robust analytics in support of vendor negotiations within Merchandising and Sourcing organization, ultimately allowing Target to realize over $1B in savings in the coming years. To achieve savings goals, you will work closely with our Business Partnerships & Negotiation team, Internal Clients, and Finance teams to develop and execute vendor negotiations. You will become an expert in vendor-level financials, business specific strategies, and industry trends for the Divisions you support. You will also drive innovation in strategy development, analytics, and negotiation methodologies. Each negotiation is unique and requires a customized approach with creative solutions. About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing, or other business-related field
  • 4+ years of previous professional experience (including FP&A experience)
  • Curious and action-oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate white space 
  •  Leverage your strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills to assess strategies and provide business recommendations
  • Experience or aptitude to work semi-autonomously across multiple partner groups to build business expertise, create relationships, and influence outcomes
  • Your ability to articulate an analytically supported point-of-view, operate with a sense of urgency, and influence across the organization will be a key component of your success
