Position Summary Information Position Responsibilities

St. Catherine University invites applications for an Operations Data & Systems Analyst position in the Department of Institutional Advancement. The Operations Data & Systems Analyst is responsible for providing technical support, coding expertise and data quality management of all data owned by Institutional Advancement. This position will design, create, develop and maintain systems to manage and utilize alumnae and other supporting data and metrics for Institutional Advancement. This position will ensure the validity and integrity of the data within the Advancement module of Banner and other Advancement platforms.

• Provide highest-level understanding of the University's enterprise information systems. Continued process and workflow analysis, enhanced module functionality and application/upgrade support. This role will be the main contact with IT for new systems/upgrades for Institutional Advancement.
• Manage and coordinate information systems problem solving, solution development, decision-making and participate in planning that will further the mission and vision of the current and future business environment
• Recommend action to improve operations, and data quality standards, correct sources of error in information that impacts University Advancement, Financial and/or Student Activities. Facilitate quality improvement efforts.
• Serve as expert resource on process/functionality issues for Banner, Reeher and other enterprise systems. Assist users in functional areas to understand and apply system processes and provide subject-matter expertise to internal clients. Work with IT to manage transfer of data back and forth from Banner to Reeher.
• Creates documentation and trains department users on data standards and data entry practices. Trains team on how to review reports in Argos and on general Banner usage to include coding standards, forms usage and other Banner processes.
• Develops and owns data dictionary with standards, codes, metric calculations. Responsible for completing all external surveys for Institutional Advancement.
• Collaborates with staff at all levels to determine requirements for reporting, analysis and mailing lists. Identifies solutions for collecting data, developing data platforms and distributing reports to end users. Performs analysis of institutional advancement performance measures with goal of educating staff and improving overall performance.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional level experience in technical, systems design and development.
• Skills working with SQL or with a data manipulation and/or programming language.
• Working knowledge of data warehouse principals.
• Proven experience with database design, data manipulation, and relational databases.
• Successful experience working effectively both independently and in team settings.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot information integrity issues.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
• Experience working with Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, Appworx, Argos or similar tools for managing data and documents, automation and reporting.
• Experience in a higher education environment.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot information integrity issues.
