LECTURER AND PROGRAM DIRECTOR
9-month sabbatical replacement
Salary: Minimum starting salary $53,000 for 9-month academic year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Duties: Teach 3 lower level packaging courses per semester as the academic instructor of record. Oversee laboratory equipment and materials for the courses assigned. Serve as program director for the B. S. Packaging program. Program director duties include program promotion to visitors and prospective students, student advising, and advisory board management.
- M.S. degree in Packaging or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to teach in both lecture and lab environment.
- Work experience in the areas of instruction.
- Experience in a higher education environment.
- Leadership in academic or industrial setting.
Department Information: The Engineering and Technology Department is one of seven departments in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Management (STEMM). The department has approximately 40 full-time faculty and staff, three of whom are full-time technicians. The department provides courses for its well established undergraduate programs in Manufacturing Engineering (B.S. and M.S.), Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, and Packaging, plus other programs throughout the university.
