Ranked Faculty -Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
The Department of Nursing at St. Catherine University invites applications for a .75 FTE, full time, one-year, 9/12 month rolling contract faculty position. Rank and salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: : The Faculty Member is accountable for student learning in the Department of Nursing by fulfilling responsibilities that contribute to the achievement of student learning and program outcomes. These responsibilities and outcomes are related to each of the Department of Nursing standards; congruent with professional, academic, and accreditation standards in nursing; and consistent with St. Catherine University and Department of Nursing standards for faculty assessment and evaluation. The faculty member's responsibilities will to teach courses and advise student in the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program of study.
Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to university service. The selected candidate will be responsible for advising undergraduate students, and is expected to engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, school, campus, community and professional organizations. In general, the faculty member will:
• Model and mentor relational presence that is rooted in Catholic social teaching and consistent with the St. Catherine University mission and the Department of Nursing vision statement, mission statement, and philosophy.
• Serve on program of study, Department, and/or University committees.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty, program of study director and the Dean of Nursing to establish and accomplish short- and long-range goals for the nursing program.
• Engage in activities that promote positive relationships with students, faculty and professional colleagues, clinical and community agencies, alumnae, and other external groups.
Master's degree in nursing, doctoral degree preferred.
If Master's prepared, successful applicant must be enrolled, or intending to enroll in doctoral program of study.
Licensed registered nurse in the State of Minnesota.
Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, with 3-5 years of clinical experience.
